LEBRON JAMES RACIAL DIVIDE EXAMINED (VIDEO)

Thursday, September 23, 2010

Yesterday Jemele Hill and Skip Bayless of ESPN’s First Take discussed the divide on LeBron James within the black and white communities after a recent CNBC poll resulted in James being the sixth most hated athlete behind Michael Vick, Tiger Woods, Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocinco & Kobe Bryant who are obviously all black. Bayless who is usually a hit or miss in his opinions caught it on the nose assessing the situation as black people being more disappointed in LeBron’s defection to Miami a confirmation of non verbal admission that he is not Superman and can’t due it on his own a la MJ while white peoples dislike for him came because of the way he unapologetically (that might not be a word) announced his departure from the Cavs on television. Barring Dan Gilbert’s racist rant, my thoughts on both races reasons for having issues are fine wherein I concur Lebron did take the easier road to winning a ring in joining forces with D Wade rather than doing on his own as the rest have and he did handled his free agency the worst way possible – two seemingly plausible reasons of a low approval rating. However my real issue lies in the poll. Lets leave Vick, Bryant & Woods out the equation considering one did time for n*gga dog sh*t, one settled out of court with a white woman who accused him of rape and the other f*cked a whole lotta white women while married to a white wife. Let’s focus on Ocho, Owens & Bron Bron who have never been in trouble with the law and bring in an obvious candidate in the hated athlete poll, Ben Roethlisberger – a two time Super Bowl winning NFL quarterback who has been accused of rape twice = success and failure,  a recipe for hate. And let’s ask ourselves why them and not him. F*ck asking, lemme just tell you. Cause he’s not a friggin rich, successful, famous and physically gifted young black man with a stage for his voice – the ultimate recipe for being hated in America. Now tell them b*tchasses to take a poll on that. Holla - ICE
