After Scottie Pippen received backlash for saying though Michael Jordan is the greatest scorer LeBron James may be the greatest basketball player ever, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has called out the NBA’s most famous weed carrier in an open letter saying Wilt Chamberlain is the best scorer of all time. Kareem’s defense of his former nemesis Wilt is his illustrious scoring career that spawned a record 100 point game, a 50.4 points per game and 25.7 rebounds per game 61-62 season during the NBA’s 8 team years. But he failed to mention Wilt was a scoring force for losing teams and for only half his career and his points dwindled down to the low teens towards his last few seasons compared to Jordan who led the league in scoring 10 straight years and was always in the top 5 along with winning 6 championships to Wilt’s 2. Also the degree of difficulty in Jordan being 6′6″ and playing amongst giants every night compared to Wilt being the only 7 footer in the NBA for most of his career playing against flat footed white boys. And to top it off Kareem who recently has been lobbying for a statue signs the letter as, “Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, The NBA’s All-Time Leading Scorer”.
