So the question of the day on Skip Bayless’ ESPN roundtable show 1st And 10 yesterday was, on a scale of 1 – 10, how surprising was Nike resigning Michael Vick to which ESPN columnist Jemele Hill responded “15″ due to Nike’s history of having “never dropped a player and come back to ‘em.” and of course the nature of the crime. Ehh! Wrong. This is Michael effin Vick we’re talking about here, not Eli Manning (sorry Giants fans). Not only is Vick the most popular player in the NFL but also the most exciting. And when you add his tireless effort to rebuild his public image, can you blame Phil Knight & crew. So with that though I hate to admit it, I gotta go with Skippy, surprise factor: zilch. – ICE
