One of the most triumphant & tragic stories in Hip Hop has to be that of Killa Cam, Murda Mase, Big L, McGruff & Bloodshed’s early to mid 90’s crew Children Of The Corn. A neighborhood “super group” of sorts a la the Wu, Children Of The Corn’s triumph came of course due to Cam’ron & Mase’s huge success and the success of the group’s producer & childhood friend Darrell “Digga” Branch who would go on to quietly create hits for not only both Cam & Mase but also 50, Jay, J Lo amongst others. Sadly however it’s tragedy is attributed to the murder of C.O.C. founder, the legendary Big L and the death of Bloodshed in a car crash. And in what may be the only footage of Bloodshed, taken from a 1995 french documentary called 20 Years In the above rare video shows cousins Cam (20) & Bloodshed (20) along with Digga (21) discussing their love for Harlem, rapping, sports, politics and performing the classic .C.O.C. cut “Harlem, USA” at the end. - ICE
