The Knicks decided to bring back Chauncey Billups not to buy out his $14.2M contract for $3.7M. The move comes in part to the lack of available good point guards and Billups impressive resume as a great floor general and former champion/NBA Finals MVP who is not only one of the better scoring point guards which earned him the “Big Shot” moniker but also one of the smartest at his position. His knock however aside from his hefty price tag and age (34) is his lack of speed and propensity for a half court game which doesn’t flourish under Mike D’antoni’s run & gun fast break style of play. Despite, Billups still managed to avg 17.1 points under D’antoni’s offense in 21 games as a Knick. And besides, who says D’antoni ass’ll be back next season any old way?! *Wink* – ICE
