Actor Anthony Mackie who played Tupac in Notorious has opened up a New Orleans inspired pub in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood appropriately called NoBar. The accomplished carpenter told Page Six he built the watering hole with his own two hands “except for the chairs.” Located literally in the hood at 608 Nostrand Ave between Pacific & Atlantic Avenues, the dimly lit wood adorned bar boasts pool tables and a flatscreen for recreation with rice & beans, jerk chicken and $5 beers on the menu for a down home local spot feel that is much needed in today’s gentrifying Brooklyn.
